My real name is Tara Leigh Patrick, but when I moved to LA and met Prince, he told me that name wouldn't fly. So I changed it to Carmen Electra. I grew up in Ohio with my Mom, Dad, sister and brother. I'm the down home country girl at heart and the big city, lights and all, hasn't changed that. Like I said earlier, Prince gave me my start by, as minimal and shortlived as it was, by pushing me to do a CD, and then modeling took me the rest of the way. I've done Playboy and I'm not ashamed. A woman's body is a beautiful thing and if guys wanna oogle it that's their perogative.
I worked on 'Baywatch' and for awhile was the girl whose bathing suit never had her name on it. They always said "Pamela" or "Yasmine". I showed those bitches and got my own the last season. It's framed and hanging in my house. before 'Baywatch' was 'Singled Out', which is where I really got noticed. They wanted a fresh, young face; I gave it to 'em.
I'm good at giving people what they want.
My personal life has never, really, been personal. You've seen my body, every part of it, and the photos will be around for a long time to come. After modeling, I started on 'Singled Out'. I was 24 and extremely proud of myself. Who would have imagined that a nobody from Ohio could make it out here in the city of lost careers. All in all, I've been in 26 films (5 soon to be released), 3 television series, and 22 guest appearances.
Amazingly enough, I still have time for hobbies. Everyone should be aware of my love for dancing! I enjoy dances of all kinds, ranging from ball room to hip hop to stripping. I actually have strip aerobics videos out right now that will help you move and bend like you've never imagined. For me, getting a lap dance is an erotic thing, no matter the gender, though I prefer women. If a person is willing to lay themselves out like that and has the balls to do it in public, it's sexy. I've danced with the Pussy Cat Dolls myself and would do it every day if I could.
Mingled through this whole mess have been two marriages to two totally great guys. The first being, Dennis Rodman in '98. He's a real gentleman and a lot of people questioned what I was thinking, but in private he's very different from the Dennis he portrays to the public. I had been going through an extremely rought time at the time that I married him, and it was a means to not feel. I figured that by marrying him and going out and partying, I wouldn't have to deal with the things going on at home. I realized that form of pain management doesnt work, but I still very much respect him.
The second was to an equally great guy, Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction, and though we hardly see each other right now, I still love him and he is always in my heart.
Okay, I can't write anymore because I'll start to become redundant. If you want to know something and it's not included here, ASK! I'll tell.
Peace <3
